My buddies Verdi and Gaucho were not able to take part in the Bone Relay, but they came all the way from Spain to light the Paw-limpics flame to mark the start of the Games.
Snowball and Girasol also are attending the ceremony, as you can see in the picture.
And now since you are here, you can bring the Paw-limpics flame to your own blog, and we can light up the world! Thank you for the great idea, Verdi and Gaucho!
I also need to send a HUGE thank you to Girasol. She made the beautiful promotional video for the Games, but what you might not know is that she provided the medals themselves as well. You will see how beautiful they are tomorrow!

As I said, we had an esteemed panel of judges, Judge-G and Judge-R, who are my parents' friends. My dad contributed if they couldn't decide between entries as well. But I did not judge these - it would have been impossible! I was cheering for everybody!
But maybe you won't agree with the judges' choices. That's okay because every day, there will be a POLL on the side of my blog. You can vote for YOUR CHOICE of who should have won an award.
And don't forget, you can get a Paw-Limpics t-shirt or something nice for your people at http://www.cafepress.com/DWBpawlimpics! All of the proceeds from the sales will go to the Search Dog Foundation.
Let the Games begin!
