Funny outfits

Hello friends! Sorry I've been a little lax about blogging lately. My mom was sick for a little bit (but is much better now thanks to my taking care of her) and I haven't been feeling so hot lately. I'm still throwing up pretty regularly and my people can't figure out why. They've changed the times I eat and other things, and I think I'm going to end up at the vet next week, unfortunately. Plus, my paws have been super-itchy, and I've been licking them, which isn't too good for them, and now they're sore. Tough to type.

So I'm sorry I've been missing all of the fun DWB events happening this past week and I hope to be feeling better soon. I know I will be fine, and I want to send BIG good-well wishes to my buddy Jackson, who's getting tested in the hospital. I hope he's doing well.

So to make EVERYONE feel good, let's look at funny dog outfits! (I enjoyed reading about everyone's Halloween fun and seeing their costumes.)

Did you know Dick Cheney dresses his dogs up for Halloween? I read it in the news. He has two, and this year they were dressed as Darth Vader and Superman. That made me curious to see if Barney, who lives in the White House, gets dressed up for Halloween too.

It turns out he does! I looked on his website. He is a cowboy (on the right), while Miss Beazley, the other Scottish terrier, is a strawberry, and the cat, India, is a wizard. He has quite the website! Maybe when he retires from being "first dog" he can start a blog and join DWB.

This is my Uncle Walter, who lives with my nana. Walter's kind of a mama's boy and lets my nana dress him up in ANYTHING! He even has pajamas. This is his Mexican sombrero my nana got him when she went on vacation. He's had a lot of different outfits.

He also has formalwear for special occasions - his own tuxedo.

His best Halloween outfit was a Hallo-weiner hot dog! Nice buns, Walter!

And, to be fair, I'm going to put a review of my last several Halloween costumes, because I look pretty silly too.

Pirate - yarrrrgghhh!

Superman

Snoopy - I mean really. Why would you dress me up...as a DOG?

Yoda

I really hate getting dressed up.

Hi Lenny,

I'm sorry to hear that you're not feeling well. I hope you get better real soon!! Love your costumes, you are so cute in each one. Mom really like the Snoopy one (she's a huge fan) and Yoda. I refuse to get dressed up. Guess I'm a bit of a party pooper.

I'll keep my paws crossed for you. We need a healthy Lenny!

Your pal,
Kirby

Hey Lenny, sorry to hear that both you and your Mum have been unwell. I hope they figure you what's wrong with you pal. I'm off to the specialist hospital next Thursday for more tests (although I'm back at our local vet tomorrow. Sigh.) I love all your costumes! J x

Hey, Lenny Boy!

Sorry I haven't been around lately. My sissy is keeping me busy.

Bummer about your tummy, man! I hope the vet finds out exactly what is wrong and is able to make it right without any pain to you.

Keep us posted on how you are, okay buddy?

You uncle Walter is hilarious! He can pull off almost any costume. You, on the other hand, look seriously pissed about every costume your people put you in.

Goober love & healing goober kisses,
Stanley

Hi Lenny,

Thanks for stopping by, even when you don't feel so well -- or perhaps by now they've figured out why you've been throwing up and scratching your paws and you're feeling better. Hope it's not serious.

In answer to your Q's -- yes, Dr. Dan is our vet and his people all take really good care of us when we go to "camp." They had a raffle for the Make A Wish Foundation on Saturday when we got there, and we actually won first prize, an IPOD. We have to teach the folks how to use it though. They're dinosaurs.

We're glad you could appreciate the college football scene we described from our egret-cam. How does it work? Well, the first thing you have to do is find a willing egret. Fortunately, we have lots, here in South Florida, and we even see them occasionally when we go for a walk in the morning. But I think I'll save the rest for another blog...

Let us know how your're feeling, pal!!

Woofs,

Jake
