St. Nicholas Day

Tonight is little Asta's St. Nicholas Day party! I've been warming up my vocal chords all day long because we're going to sing Christmas and Chanukah songs, and Jackson is even bringing his violin. Ahwrooooooo!! I think I'm ready for some dancing, too! I've tried to heal up my paws so I can have some fun tonight. I'm looking forward to seeing my old and new DWB buddies.

My friends Sam, Katie, and Zorra tagged me in a game several days ago.

Here are the Rules:
Link to your tagger and post these rules:
List eight ( 8 ) random facts about yourself.
Tag eight people at the end of your post and list their names (linking to them). Let them know they've been tagged by leaving them a comment on their blogs.

This is requiring some creative thought...okay, here goes.

1) I was born in Connecticut, lived in New Hampshire, and now live in Indiana.
2) My first humans called me "Skippy."
3) Now I'm named after a town in Massachusetts (Lenox) and a famous conductor (Leonard Bernstein).
4) I tore my ACL almost two years ago, and now I sit funny (legs to the side).
5) I am the only dog at my dog park that barks! I like to referee if dogs are wrestling, or fighting, or um...getting too friendly, if you know what I mean.
6) I'd rather play with big dogs than little dogs.
7) I sing along when my mom plays her flute.
8) I say "cheese" if you rub my belly!

Hmmm...I can't keep track of everybody who has already been tagged! I feel like I have learned fun facts about everyone already. This is hard. So sorry if you've already been tagged, but let me try:

1) Dory
2) Mackie
3) The 4 B's
4) Kirby
5) Sophie
6) Toby
7) Russell
8) Charlie

You said: 3) Now I'm named after a town in Massachusetts (Lenox) and a famous conductor (Leonard Bernstein)...

Mom asked me to tell you this. When she was much much much younger, she spent a summer at Beaupre Camp, which is in Lenox, right? And Leonard Bernstein, Isaac Stern, Lucas Fosse, Aaron Copeland and so many other wonderful musicians were all at Tanglewood. And she actualy got to shake Leonard Bernstein's hand, and Isaac Stern's hand -- and that was one of the best summers of her life. She loved them both!!

So you are indeed well named!!!

Lots of wirey love,

Your pal,

Hey Lenny, I always bark at other dogs in the park if they look like they're having fun! I get very cross when my Irish Terrier pals, Molly & Seamus start playing. I ALWAYS have to intervene and make them stop. J x

Yes we are lucky dogs, Lenny!! It was fun, wasn't it!!

We will have all eight of our paws crossed plus four human paws!!

When will your dad know if his application has been approved? How exciting that would be. Would you get to go?

Next to Dogdad and us wire fox terriers, Mom loves music best. Her dad, our grandpa who is 96 and a retired gynecologist, plays the violin in a local pop symphonic orchestra.

Keep us informed!!

Me again,

Mom wanted me to add that Isaac Stern had a soft, kind of pudgy, hand, whose touch she still remembers -- and it's been yeeeeeears since that handshake.

Thanks for the card, hope you had fun at the party.

Hey Lenny, I tore my cruciate too! Mom's making me save up my tennis ball money for the next one. My surgery was a bit pricey. I try not to run like a crazy dog, but what can I do?

I'll get mom working on my factoids. She can be a little lazy sometimes. You know how people are.

Lenny, bud.

Your photo with the stuffy choir is SO GREAT! And, you can actually say the word cheese... when someone rubs your belly? Very cool.

Sorry about your ACL! Does it still hurt you a lot? Hope not.

Goober love,

Lenny! I've started my random facts, but mom says I have to post them one at a time, rather than all at once. Everything in moderation, she says, but I think she's just being lazy. She keeps going on about all the grading she has to do. Blah, blah, blah. I've been watching her shuffle off to all kinds of holiday parties. How much grading can she have if she keeps getting gussied out and drinking vino. Anyway, Random Fact #1 is up!

I love that picture of you, Lenny!
I sit sorta funny too, always on my right butt cheek. I had a greenstick fracture on my left leg when I was just a little puppy and my girl thinks I developed this habit because of that.
