Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Happy St. Patrick's Day! I don't have a green bandana to wear, unfortunately. My mom is part Irish so she is enjoying the day. She and my dad are off this weekend to Louisville, KY to see the Kentuckiana Cluster Dog Show!!! WITHOUT me!!

I went to the Vet for a checkup on Saturday. I was expecting my usual "he looks great for his age!" That didn't happen. He did say that my skin looks great - but allergy season is about to start up again with springtime. Anyway, my back legs are a little creaky and sore and my teeth are building up plaque - but I am "too old" to have the anesthesia to get them cleaned. Also, I now have a heart murmur which we will monitor. I don't have any symptoms yet, but in the future it might slow me down a little bit. I may be a distinguished mature dog of 11 1/2 but I think I look great.

Lenny,

We think you look mahvelous!!! And we don;t think you need to worry too much about that heart murmur because lots of humans -- and dogs -- have them and they're just there, without causing any trouble.

Love to your humans -- we hope they have a good time at the Kentucky show!

Lenny...We agree with O'Jake and O'JH (as they identified themselves earlier today) You look wonderful. Tell your mama and dad not to worry too much, just watch for any symptoms and make sure you get lots of treats and plenty of walkies and games.

What a great surprise to find you back! We've (characteristically) fallen behind ... but seeing you here in your spectacular looking self made the return to reading and writing sooooo worth it. And, hey, who says 11 1/2 is "old" (Not that anyone said that.) In our books it's not old. It's the age when you can expect lots of undivided and very special attention. For all the good reasons.

We're sorta late in posting this ... and are hoping your people brought back some sort of souvenirs for you. You certainly deserve them!

Don't be a stranger!
Love ya

You do look great, Lenny! And very aerodynamic! Our mom has a heart murmer too, but it has never given her any problems. We hope yours doesn't either! Happy Spring!
